Haha. I searched for "Stanza wagon" and got a bunch of Prairie vans

Anyway, I'd never cut apart a decent car but I suppose the violet/stanza/510 would be one of those cars that lends itself to the look...

I wouldn't fault jdm grille/headlights etc. But I'd likely stop there...

In any case, there don't seem to be any shakotan pics of such a car on the internet.

Welcome to the world of the unloved and under appreciated car. 8)

And as Dachsund alluded to, you probably need to be searching "Violet" or "Stanza", the names it was sold under elsewhere. :tu:

Good then. You'll be the first. 8)

If you need any info on brake/performance upgrades, ask away. I've owned 4. And modified 3. So...

You need to visit the junkyard and find a complete set of front struts/brakes from a '79-83 280ZX. 8)

Do that, then I'll tell you how to get them in the car. :P

Look for Datsun 140J/160J, that was the name of that car here in South America.

What??!!! Those 80's square headlight wagons are pretty rare. They look very similar to the Skyline wagons in Japan.

Leaf suspension in the rear. I'm sure Datsunfreak has a trick up his sleeve.

Use the strut housing, insert (preferably new), caliper, hub, and rotor from the 280ZX. Use the springs, upper spring isolator, and upper strut insulator from the 510. The 510 spring will be a smaller diameter so you either need to cut the 280ZX spring perch off and weld on the 510 perch, OR you can cut off the top 1/3 of the 510 spring perch and set it inside the 280ZX spring perch. You can then weld it (if you have access to a welder), or just leave it as is. It will "nest" in there perfectly, and the spring will hold it in place. Generally I will cut the 510 spring down to a height where you can just put it back together without a spring compressor. This usually gets the tire right even with the edge of the fender (zero fender gap). The stock master cylinder will usually be fine with the upgrade, especially with cars that have power brakes.
