so im wondering if i can use an R32 clutch reservoir on my Hakosuka.. anyone know if this has been tried yet? i live in japan, so it would be easy to get the part im thinking about using at the local junk yard, BUT i dunno if it will work or not. and my hakosuka is in storage, not that its hard to get to, just not right in front of me...

The oe Hakosuka ones are kinda expensive but I'd just say buy it new. Consider yourself blessed to be able to walk into victory 50 or one of the other shops & get the parts you need off the shelf.

Looks like the exact same master used in every Nissan from '68 to the late '80s?

Is one for a 510 any easier to get there in Japan? I know here you can buy one in almost any parts store in town.

I used part number 30610-u750A which is a fairly common part. Found this was the best match to the original for us here in the states. The main difference between the two, the inlet for the clutch line is on the opposite side. The line isn’t very long so I re-routed a new line.

I also noticed the early 411 has a master that’s similar but I couldn’t find one to compare.





JDM one is slightly longer








Shafts are pretty much the same length but the connecting end is different.



To the naked eye the mounting holes appear to be the same but after measuring there is a slight difference.









I re-drilled slightly larger holes.

Great writeup, I know I'm lucky right now, and I'm gonna buy one for a KGC10 but I'm worried about how I will go about replacing it 15 years from now... Already have all new brake master and booster, next will be swapping in rear disk's and JDM S14 fronts, and then all the clutch work will begin.
