Greetings to all the fellow Nostalgic car fans. I've finally became 1 myself. This is Quay here, from Malaysia.
I've just bought over a '78 Datsun 620 pickup.
Decision purely based upon my very own "basic instinct" or should I say, unconditional love for Datsun...

I'm running on my '97 CD7(F22B) on a daily basis, & for love, I'm totally with my '95 A31(SR20DET).
Mmm, perhaps it's time to look for another SR20DET...or maybe FJ20ET...

Here's the pic:

My S14 had an SR20DET. I didn't like it at all. Nothing special just common, so parts are easy to come by. That's it.

More pictures of the truck would be cool.

How much did the pickup cost you?

Hi Quay,
The pickup looks really cool. What are your plans for it??? I was really thinking of getting a pickup because they seem so cool but I already have some other projects in the works.

How do you register the vehicle for ownership? It is a commercial vehicle, right? What about parts? Are they easy to come by?

I would just restore it. Maybe lower it, fender flares, spoiler and watanabes if I really have to do something. Please keep me posted on your progress. Where are you located?

blasting_speed, what didn't you like about the SR20DET? Good torque, good mpg, light weight... it's NISSAN!!!

Not as cool 8)
as ur Skyline... I'm trying to get it register in private. As for restoration it depends on the outcome of the registration.

hi Timemachine, i'm also looking for a 620 pickup here in Malaysia (specifically in KL). You got any leads where I can find them?

BTW, how is your restoration work? Interested to know how your project going, particularly on the change of ownership and private registration.
