Hi there, sorry, but the engine blew up so there is sadly going to be no more pictures as it is currently for sale...

A moments silence for the van.

Now I have a old VW Beetle for my daily...

Sorry to hear that, Stripe.. I'll pour out a quart of Castrol GTX out, in it's memory.

Gonna miss your ole green bean. :(

Please post pics of your buggy, though.

That is sad, I guess you forgot its daily dose of the said GTX, I had an 84 model and it took 4 engines/swap/overhauls to get it to 450,000. Can't live without these things, currently have a 94 with 260,000 K on it, it is a true pleasure to start it up and breathe in the aroma of freshly burnt oil. Forget coffee, give me burnt oil and lots of it !!!!

Thanks guys. Yeah, they do need a bit of oil! This one spewed all of it's out onto the exhaust manifold and smoked me out while driving to work. I thought the thing was gona catch alight!

I'm gona miss it too, it was the good times van from nam. So many memories...

But this is what I got to replace it because I couldn't find any O/S JDM cars that were up to my standards (i.e, rare and nissan)...

Goes into the panelbeaters next week to get some rust taken out of the front boot seams.

It has a 1600 put into it and goes really well. I totally underestimated these cars. Simple and straight forward but work really well.

(not much surf I know, but the girlfriends learning hahaha)

damn thats a shame. I usually see the slightly newer models with the 2.4 up around 190k miles and still running strong assumign someone changed the belts.
