I've been wanting a early muitsubishi truck like the 1984 spx I had which was hte sport model mitsu. That thing always handled like it was on rails and it was a balst to drive. Plus it had the 2 square headlights instead of the quad heads that most of that bodys tyle saw in the states.
So I stumbled across a 1980 plymouth arrow the kid wanted 300 for. It ran, and it looked straight so I drove 2 hours down to check it out. Ended up being quite a nice find. Other than it is automatic -_-. Has some sweet but faded and half taken off early 80s graphics. Starts up, and the engine sounds great other than the dizzy appears to be off a tooth from the position of the dizzy and the 2 extra dizzy's sitting in the truck box.
I was super suprised to see how many options this thing has. It has cruise, ac and power steering. I've never even seen a early max with cruise, and this thing is 1980!
There is no rust on the body whatsoever, it was a cali truck. Body is real straight other than a dent near the bottom front of the drivers door, another ding behind the door and a small one on the passenger door.
Anyhow, I ended up getting it for 200. I will go back and pick it up later this week, but I am real happy to have another even though I havent figured out where to store it yet. I will have to hit up my buddy in woodland who said I could keep a car over tehre any time I needed
The paint is oxidized but will clean up very well with some rubbing compound and a pad.
I havent taken pics yet but here are the cl pics. I think i will have my friend who runs a vinyl cutting buisness redo the original graphics once I can find a good picture.
