Hi there,

Apart from the rusty hood, this looks like a clean, and importantly unmolested example. Although its such a shame the US cars had to have the "5mph" snow plough bumpers. They really detract from the look of the car as we Australians have come to know them.

But then we didn't even get the RX-4 wagon to start with.

I would suggest, if you were intending to restore the wagon, that you might look to swap those ugly things for the more integrated look of the Aussie/Japanese bumpers. We call them colloquially the "pointy front" and they do arise on ebay and ausrotary from time to time.

Nice to observe the little differences too:
Stailess trim around the window frames.
Low-back bucket seats
Original "m" logo floor mats are a nice touch.

If you could indulge me with more photos of the RX-4 coupe i'd be grateful.

Aaron

Welcome to JNC.

Started in 1984 with a 1980 TE72 Corolla, transplanted a stock 2TG into int, over the years the 2TG morphed into a 2.0L TRD Parts monster. Never changed my nickname from autocrossing even though I got rid of the toyota in 98

I am undecided wha to do with the wagon, the pair of Dueces; a new house, having to build a new shop, sell the old house and shop is more projects than I can keep up with. The wagon needs a good home ......

Plus I found a complete unmolested early RX4 Coupe.........

I don't normally like anything apart from coupes and utes, but after working on my RX-4 clone wagon, I've kinda become fond of them.

I like it, I think it has great potential as a cruiser project. :tu:
