Hi guys here is some pictures of my RX3 Coupe we race in Targa Tasmania.

Modified but still fits into Classic category.

I have owned it for about 5 years and bought it as a shell. Since then it has been a constant development...

13B Peripheral Port
RX8 rotors
balanced to 12000rpm
75L tank
Haltech Engine management / Weber depending on event
Needham 5 speed close ratio box
Borgwarner lsd 5.1
300mm slotted rotors front and rear
Porsche GT3 Brembos 4 piston front and back
Koni Coil over front end

Standard washer bottle!

Here is a link to some in car too on youtube....

Awesome video,and car!!!

I am however utterly confused by the shift pattern of the trans. I thought even on RHD the shift pattern was the same as a LHD vehicle, but I guess I am wrong.

Thanks guys for all the kind words!

The gearbox is a normal 5 speed box but 1st is located in the normal 5th gear position. Then its the normal H pattern 2 to 5.

This has been a fairly common way to set up these Mazda boxes for circuit racing, the idea being that you only need 1st gear to get started then its all in the H pattern...

With Tarmac Rally such as this in car I sometimes need first gear on the tight stuff hence the big "dog leg" shift!

1st is good for about 95 km/h

I was thinking the same way about the shifting the gears. That look crazy the way they shift the gears. Now I see all you did is install 1st in the place of 5th and move all the gears all round that cool way.

I love the sound of the car.

Nice Car!!

Hey coupe3, that was awesome! Love the setup, and it looks like the suspension is dialed in. On the first video, did the driver of the Celica change his mind about "hating" rotaries after giving up some drinks? Must of been a good laugh afterward. Thanks for sharing your videos; I subscribed!

Just too cool for school, that Targa just looks like so much fun.

Nothing beats the sound of an angry rotary, must have been deafening in that Celica as you ripped past it!!
