Cool! What's the plan? We have quite a few 2-door 323s but most are the older bug eyes

Do you want to climb in and out of the hatch? I have trouble subscribing to the notion that the hatch is a door. I blame marketing people who figured the public would rather buy a five door than a wagon. To me it and all hatches like it are 2 or 4 doors!

In Australia we dont really consider the liftback/ hatch back a door.

Nice find Dave, Im surprised that the rear window didnt blow out on the way home ! Somehow I think you'll be starting on this alot sooner than what you've suggested.

yup here to in indonesia.. the rear is we called simply a window :D
here we got that model up for sale from 1978 till 1983 than it was re released from 1990 to 1997..so here not too many thinks its a nostalgic car..
the 1978 to 1983 model was offered with the 1.3l tc series engine..
while the 1990 to 1997 models was offered with the 1.4l tc series engine, same stroke only the bore thats slightly larger on the 1.4l version..
it comes with a slightly larger radiator..
interior was pretty much the same like the rest of the parts..

So your saying this exact same body shape was sold up till 1997 over there?

Any photos?

yup exact body shape..
the only different is the front headlights n grill.. also the bumpers.. everything else is pretty much the same..
the wheels bolt pattern remains 4x110..

most people like this car because they're very economical...
and among other engines that still uses the timing chain..
the TC engine is known for being one of the most quiet..

i've made a thread about this not so long ago..
klik the link for pictures..
