very nice photography by the way.
Did you take them?
Yup, I do all of my own photography, it's a great companion hobby.

Mate I have an 87 TX3 4WD turbo (red over gray). Very similar look to yours but the round head lights. What is this LSD you have?? Where you find that?? You know I have heard of straight cut gear sets with dog engagment for these

rally guys used them, dont know where you get them from though, not to mention about $8000aus new
P.S. Strut tops sound good too.
Australia and NZ never received the KC Laser in turbo guise, only the KE (twin headlight version like yours) which always intrigued me - typical Japanese keeping the best for themselves.
The rear viscous LSD is somewhat easier to find than you'd think. It originally came on the facelift BFMR Familia GT-Ae between 1987-89 (also known as the "rare-as-rocking-horse-shit lightweight rally version") but then from 1989-94 Mazda decided to use it on the BG8Z/BG8R Familia GT-X as standard equipment. Mazdaspeed also listed it in their parts catalogue for a few years.
I got a price on those Cusco strut top mounts today. 18,500 yen for a pair, which after shipping and other rubbish is going to work out to around NZ$400. a bit on the pricey side but it has to be done otherwise I'll be chewing out front tyres at an alarming rate, and RE001s aren't cheap. Pity Whiteline no longer manufacture adjustable strut tops for the TX3s/Familias, they would have been a cost effective alternative.
also I swear the exhaust never used to be this loud and droney, or maybe I'm just getting old and cranky. time to replace one of the resonators with a decent muffler
