If you can see the car in person go look at it, rust is the main issue with these cars. If its solid enough (no major holes, especially in the frame) and that motor runs 3-4 Grand is probably a fair offer from what it looks like in the pictures. 5 Grand is pushing it.

i know this doesn't help you but in Oz it'd sell for double figures. i can say that even without seeing the interior, as bare bones genuine rx3's sans interior are selling for that much.

if the engine runs assume it will not run for much longer after you buy and will need a re-build. obviously not driven often and has no filter on the carb. running engine will just make it easier to get on trailers, moving etc.

i'd guess that this fella selling the car just wants a bit of attention and/or is looking for a price higher than what most folk would pay. just put a price on it and be done with it, c'mon.

3k USD would be my bid.
