I bet most of those rotaries are still on the road to this day. Cool stuff, man!

Amazing pics!!!! Thanks for posting them. I wish we got the 4-door RX-3's over here, and also I wish there were more RX-4 Sedan's still around.

What does the Red P tag I see next to some of the license plates/on the grille of some of the cars mean?

Nice!! Some classic 90's Aussie style rotors there, brings back a lot of memories.....Thanks Restoremaz :D

Especially loved that yellow 626 coupe. It was a VERY nice car. Wonder what ever happened to it...

V4 simmons were certainly the wheel to have back then..... They suit the Mazda shapes very nicely.

Really? I have never seen a 4-door RX-3. Wagon's sure, but never a sedan version of the -3. I guess you learn something everyday.

Ben, you should buy an Rx4, and then start a build thread 8)

Dave judging by some of those old photos it looks as though you've been a rat bag all your life. Did you go to a special school to learn how to do burnouts with your head looking at the rear wheels ? Most people would be looking ahead

 lucky i didnt post any videos of me with long hair doing burnouts in my Rx4... Not all of those pics are of me....they are mates, brother, etc...

The red P sign on the fronts of cars, means provisional driver over here...somebody who has only recently got their drivers license and can not go over 80 KPH.

Went through some photo albums tonight and found a couple more.....

Sweet mate, that's a memory lane trip. The rotary scene hasn't ever been as cool as the early 90's since. I wonder where they all are now?

Champion effort, definately the best early Mazda era......loved the 90's rotors, simple paint, nice 15's, clean interiors, no bullshit! IRX333 was always a fav......so many "where are they now's" though?

This R100 still looked exactly the same when it sold again last year, time warp!

Mazda Rx2's, 3's and 4's have always been very popular amongst enthusiasts in Australia and this has been the case for the last 20years. The Rx3 coupe is probably the most popular out of all early rotaries.

There are still alot of cars around, unfortunately there would be alot sitting in peoples garages doing nothing for the past 10 years. The Rx4 coupe that Im thinking of taking on has been sitting around as an uncompleted project for the last 15 years. There were a couple of r100's not far from my place that are no different. People seem to hang on to them until they get sick of tripping over the car and parts. These cars are worth a bit of money now so they very rarely end up at the tip or wrecking yard, actually it would be unheard of these days for someone to throw out one of the these cars in Oz.

Ive got a couple of old photos of my rx2 and a friends rx3 sedan... got to find them, but nothing to match your collection Dave !

Has Mazda always been so populair in Australia? I remember seeing some salesrecords a few months ago and noticed that the Mazda3 is one of the best selling cars there?
