in april i transplanted in a 2l Hb 5speed engine into my 78 929 wagon, i had hoped for alittle more power and higher gearing. but i didnt exactly get that.
the engine never developed any power and the gearing gains where lost with the lack of power, and in may the piece of crap MA engine blew sky high, the rear piston almost came through the head:S

it was then i decided, no more F****ing piston engines, good how i hate them.
i soon started restoring the car(rust,interior, paintjob)
and found a nice 12a from an sa/fb to take the the ma basterds place.
after 4months of hard work(and alot more custom work than i was leed to belive this transplant would involve,) the car now works again. and is a bit more good looking.
i still got alot of work to do to the interior, as it was completely shoot.

thanks. next on the worklist is making a new harness(the old 929 one is to cluttered and messy)
putting on a new set of rims that compliment the car alittle better(something smaller, wider, more ageappropriate and with more rubber)
and of course lowering the basterd, the plan is SA rx7 front struts and brakes
(ventilated discs) and a airoverleaf airridesystem in the rear

excellent! I didn't want to say anything bad, but those wheels are horrid.

here is a small uppdate on my car,
the horrible 17" rims will newer again be put on this car, instead i have purchased som cheap old audi wheels to use until i buy new steelies from diamondracing.com
the lowering in the front is the result of mounting sa22c suspension, some idiot told me that it would work just fine. and yeah it did fit (with some small problems) but it also lowered the car 12 f**** inches.
so when i tried to run over a speed bump it got caught on the cars subframe :S
+ i couldnt steer (rubbed the fenders like crazy :S
SO! after all that work (absolutely every F**** bolt was rusted stick, and needed loooots of torching to come loose) i had to go back to the 929 struts again (cut 1 coil as a consolation prize)

this summer i will be doing major engine work. its getting fitted with a complete FD intake, 12a to FD intake adapter with integrated primary injectors (made from a 2" thick slab of aluminium)
FC cas, FC coils. msd 6a. t2 turbo. and a haltech E6K to controll it all.
i cant wait to feel some real power from the 12a (going for about 200-220 hp. with this sucky suspension i dont feel comfortable tuning it more)
