my 818 coupe - easiest engine swap

hello, i just owned a 818, but the engine is really not that power ful, is there any knowledge about swaping to another engine except rotary engines. thats because we really do not have access to this engines in europe. would appreciate your replies. thanks in advance, sergi

There is an 818 coupe in belgium with an mx5 engine it's even for sale on the moment.

Years ago there was a german website of somebody doing the same thing.
What i remember, it was a realy tight fit.

That car in Belgium is a 1980? Does anyone know if it could easily be imported into the U.S.? What is the price? I saw what I think is 8000.00 Euro's,but I could be wrong. It appears to be LHD which would make my life easier here in the U.S. What is the difference between an 808,and an 818?

it is lefthand drive and besides de 1 in de middle (because of a lawsuit from peugeot, who claims de 0 in the middle), there are no big differences as far as i know.
