Help, to remove paint dust from vinyl

Hi all,

I bought a full cabin for my rx-7, but the car it sat in has been repainted, and not covered properly, so there is a red layer of paint dust on most parts.

Have some suggestions on how I remove it from vinyl?

WD-40,a rag,and a whole lot of elbow grease!

You could also try Meguiars detailing clay. Never actually tried it on vinyl, but works a treat on paint, rubber, chrome and glass.......

Well, i tried WD-40 today, and i think it will take about one year too clean it with that.
So i will try too find out where i can buy Meguiar’s i Denmark, or else i try Ebay.
Some say that a kitchen sponge and soap and hot water can do it, i did it too the console between the seats, and it worked, but the vinyl on the back seat is thinner so i dont dare to try...

I am still open for ideas.

Befor u give up on wd-40

Spray the vinal,let it sit 24 hrs and try rubbing it off again.

It needs to bath in it to loosen up the paint.

If it doesn`t work then i will be extremley suprised.

So, i did it, with sponge,soap and hot water.
It looks like new, wauw.

Try SEM products usually found at your local automotive paint store. I'm thinking Vinyl Prep or SEM Soap. The Vinyl prep is pretty strong so use only enough to get the job done and test it on a hidden section of vinyl.
