Hi, I live in Australia and am currently rebuilding my 1981 Mazda 626 CB coupe with 2L MA motor and am after some advice about disabling the pollution gear eg; the ECG valve and associated plumbing as well as the air injection into the exhaust manifold and possibly the deceleration control valve.
Am I likely to encounter any adverse effects from doing so, like over heating (rich/lean), burning out valves?
Will I have to retune/rejet the carburettor?
My other question is about the exhaust port restrictors (in the workshop manual I have they are called "insulator plates")that are fitted to the head on my motor on the exhaust side. Can I safely remove these aswell with out running into any major problems.
Any advice any of you have will be greatly appreciated.
