NSR: The Nostalgic Skyline Registry

Welcome!!! If you own a Classic/Vintage Skyline, if you're looking to purchase one or if you're an old school Skyline fan this registry is for you! A listing of the few but proud owners of pre-R32 Nissan/Prince Skylines (and their variants: e.g. Datsun K-Series, Nissan Silhouette's, Pintara's, Estates/Wagons, etc). All great things have humble beginnings and I have started this list in the hopes that new and long time owners have a place to get together and discuss anything related to our cars. From asking a simple purchasing question, setting up a local Skyline meeting, and maybe one day even a regional meeting. In a sea of other Nissan/Datsun marques, I hope this list allows us to make it easier to find, share info, create new owners, help solve problems and bring us more in tune, as we all have a common love for an uncommon car. As before you DO NOT have to be in the U.S. This is open globally to allow us to interact on a larger scale.

In the interest of security/safety, I must remind us all that like any other forum, any advice or information used, discussed or distributed, is of your own accord. Any and all liability cannot be held against JNC (Japanese Nostalgic Car) or NSR (Nostalgic Skyline Registry) for any reason.

Here is current the revised list. No one is obligated to be on this list and you are free to be on it or removed at anytime and you may also add your e-mail to this list if you wish. Looking at Racecraft's website, the car looks for all the world to be a KGC10 rather than a genuine KPGC10. It certainly seems to have an L-gata engine rather than an S20.

What is it?

I spoke with Jim a while back and discussed one of the cars he was building. It’s my understanding the car hes building is going to be a "works" replica. Reason I know I mentioned I had plans to do a "works theme" on my car. He asked which theme so we dont create the same car. As for engine I was never able to confirm if it’s a KPGC10.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for that. Yes, I've seen their website and the very impressive work they do and that's why I asked the question. I see what appears to be KGC10 sheetmetal, and for sure there's an L-gata engine going into the car, so why is it being referred to as a "KPGC10"?

I asked the same question when the Registry first got up and running. I didn't get an answer that time, but after viewing the build-up photos again it would appear that the base car is in fact a GT or GT-X rather than a genuine GT-R. I also spotted the interior of a business in Japan that I know well amongst the Racecraft photos. Curious.

I've got absolutely no problem with clones, replicas or lookalikes ( I'm building a PZR replica myself ) but they must be honestly described, and it's probably down to us as fellow owners to police some of that. For sure we can't start altering factory-applied chassis prefixes and body serial numbers, but we also have to describe our cars accurately. It's the only way to fly, I think.

Hope this gets taken in the way it's intended.....

Lucky you! An R30 owner and you get No.30! Great find by the way, I love the White over Black, not the most common but very pleasing to the eye. Good luck with your build and getting her over to the U.S. By the way if you ever take a drive to Yokota AB there are several UpGarage and Parts-off shops in the area and its a great drive!

Haha I didn't even think about that until you pointed it out :tu: and yessir, those are the ones I usually hit, out by tomei...the drive sucks though man haha. Worst traffic in that area
