Well its funny how these bikes used to easily be swapped for a 12 pack of beers once upon a time,
not so these days...
But this IS by far the most fun vehicle I have ever owned, so I think well worth the price tag.
I picked this up just before Christmas all ready to ride away on the road,
which was what I wanted, so I will make a nice summer cafe hopper! (cant really say racer)

Anyway, Ive cleaned the tank out and put a new carb and fuel filters so she purrs quite nicely.
also got a new helmet for xmas.

Next step is to slap on new tyres and get a 5mm pin stripe put on them. and were done.

Sitting in the sun enjoying an early beer with Dad christmas day.

A couple of Dad smaller bikes Honda Sl100 & '49 Excelsior.

So picked up this beauty for 100 bones, barnfresh!

Its a '79 and in need of some tlc, she has a dead battery and no doubt a filthy tank and carb, the original owner told me it hadn't been started in at least a decade.

Cant wait to get started...

very nice barn fresh find.

I found 81 vespa 100 sport in a barn. still awaiting me to copmplete it though along with the 75 cb500t.

Are vespas hard to get parts for? Ive thought about picking one up as I love the style of them., real 60's mod squad!

Well the Red ones a bit of a basket case really, most things are fixed now, but barely goes above 20kmh,
Ive taken the head off and it appears the intake valve doesn't seal correctly, limiting compression.
Next step is to give it a valve grind, and a clean out, see how that goes...

Just thought that's probably why the carb leaks, must off blown fuel/air back into the carb and out various holes.

Im going to turn it in to something like this....

the vespa isnt too bad. lots of parts available out of the states.

i like the style on the last pic you postd. what was done to it?
