I always post just about ever thing I do to my N600 under "My N600s" viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14299 and I am always surprised at how few people respond and how little conversation develops. Take a look at my link. I got some response to the trunk lid but absolute nothing for the "electronic ignition", electric fan, and alternator. I have to admit no one has responded here trying to sell me something as I have found to be true on newsgroups.

In response to 8803...

You're right on with the lack of response, but I think it's a numbers thing- as in there are so very few of us that are into these cars, let alone modding them (very nice work on the deck lid by the way).. Not that it's a bad thing, but our niche makes for a small, slow board.. it may sound a little odd, but there are all types of motorheads over on GRM (grassrootsmotorsports) that might take a peek at your stuff if you link them to it over here.. One guy over there did a really nice job putting a Honda motor in his N600's back seat area.. pretty sure he linked it over and got more feedback as a result..

That said- you (WE) N/Z600 guys please keep posting up.. these cars beg for mods for reliability or just to do something fun- there's an appreciative audience, you just have to find them (us)!

I'd be super interested in the electronic ignition you made for the stock 2 cylinder engine, that is a huge untapped market. I engineered Pertronix electronic ignitions for the Subaru 360's, which are more rare cars, and we've sold more than 300 units....in just a couple years time.

Pro motive from the UK is now making a drop in subframe kit for R1 Yamaha motorcycle engine with axles and Quiafe Diff for classic Mini's . This guy has a 2003 Yamaha R1 in his Mini, FWD and has reverse, the 1st one in the country, installed right here in the US. The whole car is for sale on Ebay. The kit is NOT cheap, but so cool.

I got my Uni boots from dorman and have no idea how you managed to squeeze a 3 5/8" boot down to 3". Even down on the accordion area I get a massive kink under the strap. Any hints as to what I am failing to do correctly.

in between the acordian belows there are flat spots for the clamps, there are three, the smallest being about 2 1/2 inches, I think I used the middle flat spot about 3" and cut off the rest. Unifit part # 03680 , looking at the package it does not say Doorman, just says "Solid CV joint boot kit" made in S. Korea. It does say for joints up to 3 5/8". Wonder if we got the same boot kits?

I ended up ordering the -003 because I thought it was the -001 with grease and rings. My boot only has (2) flats before the accordion section and its range is 3 5/8 to 3 1/2. If I clamped it in the first dip in the "v" of the accordion it would be fit but I think it will kink.

I just contacted Dorman to find out what the difference is. I got 4 emails back instantly saying they were all gone until the 26th. Maybe I want to work there.
