My name is AJ but I usually go by JMax. My old username was Kidzik007. It's been about 5 or 6 years since I had visited this site.... Well, Santa was good to me and I got 2 new awesome cars this year: another pristine AE86 from one of my previous customers (Ric) and an awesome TE72 coupe with quads, coilovers and an awesome set of hoshinos (blue109).
I work for Intuit Inc during the day and as a bodyman/painter/fabricator by night, mostly as a hobby right now. I also try to attend local drift and track events when my kids and schedule permit. Before Intuit Inc, I worked at 3 prestigious body shops here in Tucson over the span of 8 years. My best tenure in a bodyshop and where I learned the most and the best techniques was at Hoods, Etc where we worked on nothing but very high end vehicles, some of them specifically for the Barret-Jackson auction. The most memorable vehicles I worked on include a 1949 Jaguar XK150, a 1963 Ferrari America 330 (number 12), and the ground-up restoration of my boss' matching-numbers 1969 Olds/Hurst.
I have always been a Toyota nut. I decided to 'join' back after acquiring my first TE72 being that my experience with this chassis and its powerplant (3TC) is nil. Hope to have fun with this oldie. I'm always happy to answer any questions regarding paint and bodywork, so don't be afraid to ask. Glad to be back with a proper vehicle his time!
