OK fellas, need some advice.

My coupe has sat idle for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. Seeing as my sedan is finally going in to get the Microtech tuned, i can spare abit of time to start working on the dusty thing. First port of call though, the windscreen.

Gemini Coupes have different glass to sedans, which makes finding a new screen next to impossible. My screen is in good shape however, the tinted band that runs along the top has faded from blue to brown.

Question is, is there any way via polishing or cleaning etc to remove the tinted band?

I'm pretty sure most windshields like this are two layers of glass with the tint strip in between the layers.

Could always go with a bit of black vinyl on the outside to cover it?
