So many of us love the tire stretch look our oldskool japanese cars. There has been no specific thread though on how to do it. I know there are several different methods out there. So post up the way you know how to do it so that we all may share our tire stretching techniques :D

The 3 methods I've tried, all for extreme stretches

Ether/starting fluid
The key is using the right amount of ether: too little you melt stuff; too much = Richard Pryor
DANGEROUS!!!

Tire Cheetah
By far the fastest/safest

Inner tube method
This involves using inflated bicycle inner tubes to span the gap until bead seats. The tubes then pop off the outside of the wheel
This is probably the best DIY method, cheap, simple, safe
Doesn't work well for very extreme stretches.

Just read a super writeup about the innertube method over at club4ag last night. Figured I'd cross post it since it's really good:

http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=53302

Dude that wrote the article stretched a 195/50 onto a 8.5" wide rim.

Someone else replied that they used the innertube method to stretch a 195/60 onto a 9" rim.

Which is weird cause I ordered them from www.tire-easy.com and they were cheap! And when they called to confirm the order they sounded like they were in the philipines
