I dont care if they aren't real I liked them over the larger ones.. but I got them and they are 13" rims and I'm just wanting to know if they are real or not? I checked the back of the rim and they state they are..

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but to the best of my knowledge those have not been copied by anyone, at least not on a grand scale.

Most of the copies of the Equip 01 are replicas of the 2pc variety, not the cast 1pc version.

the 2pc followed, and after a long absence, the 2pc is back with a new design and diameters

Yeah thanks, its what I needed to know.. I'd tried emailing works but didn't get any response on the history of the work equip 1's... So thought you guys would be able to tell me more then I needed to know about classic Japanese rims.


I like them because they look like some of the wheels that come off vintage race cars in Grand Prix and F1 racing.

Ive got a set and mine says I belive it says equip on the backside.

thats a real one....i have 3 sets....

I did see replicas of the old one pieces for sale on yahoo auctions japan, but I don't think they made the in 13" and they looked odd. Those look real though.
