It's getting harder and harder to find 13" tires. My current Sumitomo HTR 200s(195/60r13) will soon be worn out. I have read that this model/size has long been discontinued. Where are you all getting your 13" tires and what sizes are you running?? Any help would be much appreciated!

Running a 185/60-13 Falken ZIEX 912. I got mine from http://www.tires-easy.com.

They have 4 different types of 185/60-13, none in a 195/60-13, and 2 types of 205/60-13. :tu:

I bought those same 195/60-13 Sumitomos you have two years ago from http://www.tirerack.com, but they recently told me discontinued them some time last year. :|

FWIW, they have in the past told me they don't do "low profile" or "high performance" 13" tires. :|

Closest I've seen (on their site at least) is this "red line" BFG:

http://www.cokertire.com/tire-styles/ra ... adial.html

Comes in a 175/70-13 and 185/70-13.

As awesome as 13's are, this why why I went 15's. Tire selection is for shit, especially if you looking for wide, low, and sticky. I think the 205/60 is about the best you're gonna get unless you wanna run r-comps, I even had to resort to that with a 15.

What about retreading them like truck tires do? Is it possible?

I know how you feel. I have 155/60/13 on the front of the publica. Nankang's site shows they carry them, but no one in the US does. Every tire shop/site I've called or emailed say they're discontinued.

Picked up some 14x7" Rikens. They need new tires, but it was worth it for $300! My 13x8" Rota RBs will be up for sale soon.....

A work in progress:

In Belgium. Not in the US.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of low profile 13" and 14" tires you can buy in Europe that they don't sell here. :x

Problem is, 15s look great on a 510. Not on a lot of other cars. I tried 15s on my 1200 and it looks like a monster truck, even with a 195/45-15 (smallest diameter 15" tire available).

I really need to find some 195/45-14s right now. A few sites listed them 6 months ago, but it seems no one has them now...

No need to be sorry! This thread could turn out to be a valuable resource!

BTW, what size tires/brand did you get?

There are, my buddy actually owns 2 classic minis and 2 morris minors. Problem is that classic minis mostly runs 10s and the few 13" tires they carry are really narrow, I've hit him up on his sources for that already. VWs don't run 13s as far as I know and even if some do I've never seen one that didn't have tall tires, also not useful. Problem is that small wheels are going away so small tires are as well. The only reason we even have any decent 15" tires still is because of miatas, now that the new ones come with 17s it'll just be a matter of time until wide 15s disappear too. Hopefully that'll take a while.

Check Wal-Mart. The store close to me carrys 155/80 & 175/70 for $52/$59 plus tax. Both have 45k warranties. They aren't performance tires, but will get the job done!
