I have recently come into possession of a tidy retro Momo steering wheel. Unfortunately it's lived its entire life mounted on display in a smoker's house so as a result the leather/vinyl/whatever is incredibly slippery, and has zero grip (as well as smelling like stale cigarettes, ugh).

What is a good product to use that could hopefully restore a bit of grip? I was thinking diluted simple green, but suggestions would be appreciated before I start pouring crap all over it.

If push comes to shove I could go down the complete restoration route, but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

Cheers!
