can anybody help me out Im trying to register my 78 arrow at the DMV
seems like they are giving me a hard time. I bought the car 4-5 years ago and restored it to how it was. Now they are asking me a dismantlers certificate coz itwas stating that it was a junk car in their file. I told them I bought it from the registered owner. although it didnt move for years I did restore it to a roadworthy car.My problem is I bought it 500miles away almost close to Lake tahoe and Im from LA. So its imposible to get any more papers. Anybody know how to apply for historical plates.

dang that sucks. hopefully you didn't pay any money up front?
you might try a privately owned registration shop
it'll cost more, but they usually put customer service first

not yet but Im sure I need to eventually. Its unfortunate that I came across with a clerk that likes to complicate things, most of the time they are helpful
just dont make sense.

Might contact the main DMV office in Sacramento and see what they can do or what paperwork you need to file to change that.

Or if anything find someone out of state you can register the car at like in AZ or NV and then transfer it back over to Cali.
