hehehe..
i guess most of the US cars were imported at the 40's to 60's here..
most serves as govermental vehicles..

this one is belong to a friend of mine who also owns the honda n360 that i towed...

i don't know how much a chevy like this valued over there in the US..
but this one is in running condition...
it was bid @ US$5000 last year..
but my friend don't wanna sell it...
he bought it for US$1000..

They are not very highly priced, but I would say highly "valued".

That car over here would be in the US$2000-2500 range.

Over here, what makes one more valuable than another is options it came with. That one looks fairly low level on options. Is it a 100 or a 300?

Look at the badges on the rear quarter panel. It will either say "CHEVY II - 100" or "CHEVY II -300".

Should also have the same badge on the glove box.

But now that I think about it, I don't think the 100 came as a hardtop. So it must be a 300. :P

and if you ever get a chance, I'd love to see a photo of the "body tag". It's on the firewall, right next to the heater blower motor. Looks like this:

There was an issue of National Geographic in 1989 with an article about Vietnam. The article had a picture of rusting fleet of American taxis down by a dock. I remember several 1959 Plymouths in the fleet......wonder where they are today......?

Do you want a high-res version? I need to tweak the color somewhat..for some reason when I export out of Illustrator to a jpeg it kinda washes out the color a little.
