Here's something kinda cool with a vintage/ retro feel to it...

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/toyotageek/4194619309/" title="Steampunk Computer by toyotageek, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2618/4194619309_36d02c3a20_o.jpg" width="550" height="435" alt="Steampunk Computer"></a>

It's running Windoze. The reset button is not large enough. It has to be about 8 inches in diameter and directly in the middle. Just like the hazard flasher switch on a Japanese market car has to be big and prominent in the middle of the dash, because you have to use it all the time (in that case to double park, instead of restarting a crashed computer).

I like it. I wonder how stable it is with the big monitor and those wire legs. :|

Right now it doesn't even exist - it's only a 3D rendering. But, it would be cool if someone did pick-up on it and actually build one or something similar.

Isn't it? Just what is steampunk? After all, it's just a fantasy and a fantasy is whatever we make of it. But I agree, it is more of a 50's retro - however, according to the video, it's inspiration came in part from steampunk. And I kinda thought the steampunk title would be more attention grabbing.

Perhaps this will suit your needs better...

And this one is real and working!

I think it was just gist of it came from that idea and yeah that pic is definitely steampunk, you should see some of the other cool creations out there from the guy that did that one, they are just outright beautiful
