It seems simple enough. DeLorean still exists, servicing the original cars, as well as making a small run of second generation cars. John Z. DeLorean was the manager of Pontiac in the 1960s, so there's a strong connection there. As the article states, DeLorean is a company without a car, and the Solstice is a car without a company. The question is, would anyone want to buy a DeLorean Solstice?

If you've got 1.21 gigawatts, then I've got 88 mph.

I will only buy one if they promise to use another Peugeot-Renault-Volvo motor
Thats just what I wanted...a Poniac without the excellent quality control of GM  Could it be any worse?

By the way, the Delorean company in Texas has NOTHING to do with the original company. They just bought a warehouse of unused parts and the rights to use the name.

Sad thing is, those concept drawings look better than the actual Solstice...imo anyway.

Little known fact: Jay-Z wrote the original script.

Id drive one if they sold for $750 like every other car from '85, lol. Not paying $12k for a fiero though, haha.

As bad as Fiero's are, they are much more reliable than the Delorean ever was. Electrical gremlins plagued them from the very start to the bitter end...owners were known to get locked in their own cars.

My uncle had 3 Fieros. They seemed to live up to their name.

I used to call them "Ferry-o's" as an insult until I realized that "Ferio" is the name for a 4door civic, lol.
