Hello everyone!

I'm "kinda" new here. i signed up a while ago but forgot about this wonderful website for a bit... until my girlfriend asked me what i wanted for my birthday. Then i remembered this awesome mag. So now I'm back!

Anyway, Ive been rocking a lot of stuff lately... Mainly The 13th Floor Elevators, the Animals, and The Velvet Underground right now. I have to say it is interesting to see what everyone on here is into, very different tastes.

agreed! unfortunately they dont tour the west coast yet :(. By far my favorite metal band ever. I'm going to get some flak for that comment I know, but they are just insane!

"The Son Never Shines on Closed Doors"- Flogging Molly

I have a special place in my heart for this traditional Irish folk music meets punk/rock genre. Another band to try is The Poques.

If you like irish folk, Fionn Regan is a more modern folk artist hailing from Ireland. And if you like indie folk RuRu is chill.

Sublime- work that we do
I'm really into ska but I've been jammin to Sublime recently. They have a few ska songs but most are more dub/ reggae influenced. I'm starting to get into the oldschool ska too like Prince Buster, The Skatalites and Toots and Maytals.

You should try out oreskaband. They're a newer japanese ska band, but they sound like old american ska! Give them a try. It's all in japanese though.
