Yesterday I let my mother borrow my parts hauler to go to work, cause her car was busted. It seems that somebody hit a explorer next to her pushing it into the passenger side of the car. They hit with some much force to pushed the explorer into my car, and pushed both cars into another parking spot. Seems the ka24de I had in the rear cargo area is fine. It seems like I will need a new door and mirror. My question is will it be totaled if I claim this? The car Is a 88 Chevy celebrity station wagon.

Honestly depends on the availability of the door. A car, regardless of age, can be totalled if a major component (i.e. a door) is unavailable. I'd call around and try to find a door before calling it in. What's her collision deductible?
