First thought was a 510, however the single headlights, grille, and heavy mods really have me thrown for a loop. Any help is much appreciated - and to whomever owns this car, jealousy would be an understatement!

Correct me if i'm wrong but didn't Fiat eventually sell the rights to produce the Fiat 124 and it became the Russian Lada?

This could be a Lada and not a Fiat.

I would say like a early rolla but I know that's not right. Does have a fiat look to it.

The 124 was produced for several years starting in 1966 IRRC through to 1974.

It's true that Polski-Fiat later became Lada and this could be a Lada, but if it is someone's gone to a lot of trouble to put early (60's) features such as the turn indicators and sidelights on to a later shell, as per the '66 below, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Whatever, it does look fine. :)

as Stated it could be LADA VAZ-2101, most likely, judging by the door handles

Tidy example

That is pimp, I love the wheels and plaid interior. I wonder what it would take to get one shipped to Texas :D

Thanks for all of the replies... Door handles do seem to be a Lada giveaway... Fiat or Lada, I think I'm in love, but then again you'd probably be reaching for my wallet more than I could take.

Red painted steelies, dog dish hubcaps, wide whites and slammed stance = total win.

Was in Egypt a few weeks ago and about 40% of the cars there are these Fiats and Ladas.
I am not exaggerating.
Even boy racers love them and I saw many with shiny plastic bits stuck to them and "turbo" and "GTR" badges. Bet they are quick...
Actually, saw at least 3 Toyota Hiace vans with GTR badges as well.... I guess lots of crazy engine swaps go on in Egypt?

I think there should be a import/exporter that can bring several of these over. I could see owning one of these and dropping a 3TC or 4AG into it. :D

Look on a website called "dubizzle" and choose Egypt as the country.
Classifieds/autos/Fiat or Lada - they have a few of both for sale.
The Fiats are 1980´s but the Lada´s are 2008´s so they must still be producing them!

***I am computer illiterate otherwise I would have sent you a link***

Think they are a little expensive....

And unless they are 25+ years old, they would be tough to import.

I lived in Turkey in 1986/7. Almost every car on the road was either a Renault R12 or a Fiat 131 sedan, both built in Turkey. The Fiat was called a Murat. I had one of each and enjoyed them both. It's amazing how much fun you can have in a car when you don't care what happens to it.
