All Japan Day 2010

All Japan Day was held today 28th February at Glenelg (Adelaide, South Australia).

There was a good turnout of mixed Japanese cars, both new and old, modded and restored.

The event was a great success and a great day was had by all. :D
Fingers crossed I will be there next year with mine all finished!!

A few pics of the “Nostalgics”.

Nice pics!

I was abit dissapointed I missed this one, but I got no sleep on the plane home to Adelaide and was quite rooted when i arrived home.

I did happen to see this car in a car wash on my trip home from the airport.

I will have to show my brother this pic. He has a mazda 1000 ute he will be restoring soon.

JDMRX2 if you're in your late 20's - mid 30's I think you might know him.. Roger had a long list of rotaries back in the day.

Hi mate, I'm curious now....I'm 32 and have been into Rotors since I was about 14. What did Your brother have? Probably will bring back some great memories..

Cheers,

my brother Roger had over the years;

rx3 coupe (blue)
rx3 sedan (Purple)
rx2 sedan or coupe [cant remember which] (black)
rx7 series 2 (silver)
rx7 series 5 Infini (black)
JC Cosmo 20b twin turbo (grey)

also had some Gemini's, an s13 silvia, VL calais Turbo and maybe a few more during that time.

Most of his mates are into their rotaries and in that age bracket so why im guessing you might of crossed paths at some stage, they are all into their rotaries rx2's/3's/4's/7s capella's etc

they used have 'the shed' where they would hang out in and play with their rotories.

I will ask if he has some pictures when he visits me tomorrow.

What a great show it was. Adelaide may not have the volume of people or cars that the Eastern States have, but we can turn on a decent gathering of Japanese cruisers. Here's a few of my pics:

That Toyota Stout is SWEET! That's where the rest of the Isuzu's are! We had four come along up here.

Cheers. I take that as a heck of a compliment from you. You have cars that make me giddy. Sadly the old Stout comes up better in pics than it really is. I still love it though. :D

Yeh I love the colour.

Yep the Lite-Stout is all original except for the colour. Still got the original 2R and the stupid gearing. Would love to see a pic of yours if you have a link to one that you can perhaps PM me.

Oh and the venetian was a custom one I had made down here in Adelaide. Venetions belong in all my cars. 8)

Love the photos, will have to look into the classic scene here in Tasmania, not sure if there is one at all.
