Hi friends!
On the last weekend I went on an event, a classic meeting but with something else, lots of food!
Every year on Beirã, near the border, the local make an event where the pig is the meal, is called “Matança do Porco”…and every year all classic fans are invited to participate for free!
Food, drinks and everything who went on the place with a classic is free to enjoy all the event…so I went!
Lots of Spanish cars, like Dodge, Fiat, Renault, Opel and lots of Portuguese cars too, as you will see.
It was a raining day, but just at night the weather changed radically!
Japanese brands were Datsun, Toyota and Mazda, then the others like Mini, MG, Ford, Renault, Land Rover and so on…
It was a brilliant event, and in the morning we made a rally paper and a peddy paper…lots of fun for the participants and locals, because some answers were very difficult to find…
The landscape was magnificent, in Marvão, with the old Castle surrounding the cars, and all the mountains a valleys could be seen…

In the end, my 510 got like this…horrible…lots of work when I reach home…the photos speak for itselves…

Thank you very much for posting the photos of the cars in the show. It must have been quite time consuming to edit them and blank out the license plates.

I especially love the dark blue b210! Are they called 120Y's there?

It was an amazing meeting, nice people and lots of fun!

blownb310: I have covered the plates becuase in Portugal some cars have been stolen, and during an investigation, the cause was the number plates. The thives went into the IMTT - The Institute of vehicles properties, payed 5 euros, and got all th information on the car and even the person, where the car was registered and some more datas!
Here in Portugal, our privacy in not protected enough! That's the reason! But if you want some phot in particular, ask me and I'll send it to you with nice quality! OK!

And you're all right, here in Portugal the B210 has the same name - Datsun 120Y! Nice cars...but the most sucessfull model was defenetely the B110 - Datsun 1200! The 120Y was produced in lowerest number, and the 4 doors saloon os the most common!

This Fird capri is unique in Portugal, is the 1600 GT but with automatic gears! There are more capris like this one, but with 4 manula gears.The car came from Germany many years ago, and my friend, a she, bought it!

It's restored and in very very good conditions!

skunk: The !20Y is from a friend of mine that lives near me! The restore project last 2 years, and I think is still going on, because he can't find the rear glass rubbers! I tried to help him before he finished the resto, but in vain! It's an item that is descontinuated!

About the 2 doors wagon, I can insert more photos if you like, or I can send it right to you! Is a friend of mine too! It's original and never restored! This wagon has a long story, first, and before my friend buy it, the car was about to be used on experiments by the firemen...he knew some of the people and made an offer for the wagon, the fireman chef accepted and was dispensed for my friend! Lucky!!!
The wagon was amazing, no rust, the engine was with almost 100.000 km's, but reals, and the interior was completely new!
It's in good hands!

About the Dodge, well, I became spechless, nice engine, nice exhaust noise, ENOURMOUS, and in mint condition! The owner is still the same, he bought the car and is still in everyday use! The worst part is really the gas...about 25 Litres per 100 km's...ehehhee!
And defenetly the car of the day as you say!
