this time last week we were in northern NSW for the Bellett Nationals.

we had 70 people and 39 cars there (should have been 40 cars, but 1 'failed to proceed' on the way), which is the biggest yet in the 5 years of the event, and next year looks like following the trend and being bigger and better again.
was a top weekend, with some of us making it a week long road trip and staying a bit longer to make the most of it.

here's a few pics from the show'n'shine, and the trophy winners with their cars.

should have also mentioned that we had all of the isuzu variants sold in australia back in the day on display this year too, even tho these pics don't show them all.
they were:
early model PR90 GT.
1st model PR91 GT.
late model PR91 GT.
early "teardrop" model PR20 sedan.
mid model PR20 sedan.
late model PR20 sedan.
Wasp utility, both tray back and styleside ute.
and a Florian sedan.

not my wasp tho kaz.... owned by a guy from brissy.
is actually a car i found for him down here and he's resto'd it over the last 2 years.
my wasp was still in sydney at the motor show until the same weekend of the nats, so it wasn't available and the GT stayed home this year.
got some good pics of the wasp on display there too, with the offical isuzu promo pics and other stuff to come.

nats story is this:
i didnt know what to take.
wasp is heavy to drag that far, GT went to adelaide last year, but race car can't drive on the cruises....
i was going solo to the event, the wasp was going to sydney for the duration, and the organiser then asked me to bring the race car for something different as most had never seen it, or even one that modified, so that sealed the deal and left the GT sit in my factory.

next year, taking either the GT or the nephew's car if it's finished....
lil sis' son, just about 12yo, and got his 1st car to tinker with.
bellett of course! 68 sedan.
pick it up on cup day. i found it for him, and the little bugger got better than i did for my 1st one, and paid less!

mitchell has one already? Cool.........
sounds like me at Nationals- wanna take racecar, prince and roadster (ute won't be ready) so gotta work out what goes where!
