Hey gang,

Just posting up this awesome event, coming up soon at Lakeside on the 17th October. From info from friends in the Qld Z club, the blocks are filled up with at least 40 Z cars racing, which should be an awesome site.

Free to come and look. The racing cafe and museum will be open as well. I believe too, you can still enter on the day to race being a Track attack session, but check the QR raceway website for more info or call the friendly chaps at the ZCCQ.

Pictures after the event, they'll be more Z porn than you can handle!

LapZ at the Lake 2010

Sunday - October 17th 2010

Bring your Club Car along for the day and watch our club Zeds Sprint around Lakeside Raceway

FREE ENTRY for SPECTATORS

This year will see the inaugural running of “LapZ at the Lake”. It has already attracted a massive amount of interest from our members and their friends just through word of mouth. In short, we are attending a sprint series session at Lakeside Raceway, on Brisbane’s northside, on Sunday October 17 and we want YOU to come along too.

It consists of approximately four 5 lap sprints on undoubtedly one of the best racing tracks in Australia. You will not be disappointed. Z Car Club Q is securing 3 groups with a maximum of 20 cars in each group which means 60 of us can all experience driving on a truly historic race track.

Just to add a little more info, there's a bit of a unofficial cruise and official car show now happening as well. The Z club have organized an area just outside the cafe for the car show. There's a massive covered outdoor area here to sit as well that overlooks the car show area, great for those sunny days!!

Again FREE ENTRY to come and look but bring out your JNC (JNT in my case!!) and add to the day. Already a number of classics heading out, should be great fun. :tu: :tu:

Absolutely a fantastic day considering the terrible weather we've had in S.E Qld this last week - we had nearly 500 mm of rain!!

Fantastic turn out for the day with 65 entrants from the Z club with most of them of the Z variety. Thanks to all from the Z club for the day, I really enjoyed it and for all the Seven of clubs members for coming out and saying hello. Some pics from the day, enjoy!! more to follow.

Yeah, awesome day, will be an annual event now, no excuses now, we'll put you down for next year!!

Yeah, couldn't believe how the weather turned out, actually ended up getting a bit sunburnt, talk about contrasts, not a week earlier I was flooded in at my property for 2 and half days!!
