I will be there as always with at least two of my old Mazda's. I will be in the REPU hopefully with a surprise in the bed,and I have a friend driving my SA RX-7. If I can get the RX-4 completed(new transmission installed on Sunday),and can find a driver I will have that there as well.

Great show put on by great people(JNC members),and a great venue. Don't miss it!!!

I'll be there too. My 710's finally on the road, so I'll be bringing it down. It's not exactly a show car, but I might as well show it anyway...

See you there!

If everything holds together, and I can find another driver I will have the RX-4 there as well. Just took it out for a spin after replacing the transmission(again!!!),and it seems to be fine, but so did the last one.

Thanks for the pics miatasteve. I am sorry I had no idea who you were, but I think you were asking me about getting the motor in my truck, and I was confused. You had my truck confused with Ken's truck in CT that was/is for sale with no engine/trans. My truck has always had the engine in it,and I drive it all the time. Had I not been pulled away I would have stayed to talk with you longer, for that I am sorry.

Was Gerry(AKA lisasdecals) there? If so I am sorry I didn't meet you,or maybe I did. I met lots of people, and talked with many as well. All in all a great day,but I liked it better when Bard, and Bob ran it. There was 100% more beer given away!!! I don't drink, but it seemed I always one a case of Sapporo, and would give it to my brother,or Father, and they would be thrilled. Not normally Sapporo drinkers, but free beer is free beer.

If you had the green pick-up...I spoke briefly to you. I think the guy you mentioned was also there when I talked with you. No worries...I did remember the ads for the RX4 SP if that helps ring a bell.

I was at the Miata meet last July. http://www.massmiata.net/Gallery/2010/MOT/index.php

I am surprised how low key and fun events these are. Maybe next year I can pry my brothers 77 280 out his garage or just drag my Miata track car to the Jap car event.

Ahh yes now I remember you mentioning the RX-3 SP ads with the road on fire behind the car. Yes that was my green REPU,and I spoke with so many people my head was spinning. Some old friends, and some new that have such passion for these underappreciated pieces of automotive history. Maybe some day the Japanese manufacturers will get the respect they deserve. These manufacturers didn't get to the level of dominance in the industry over night, and these old cars are proof of why they rose. I see at local cruise nights that there are many "No Jap Crap" stickers on cars, and I don't understand why. I bet many of these people that have this opinion drive Asian cars as daily drivers, but they would never admit it.

Awesome pictures Drew!!!! This was a very good show in my opinion. I wish more old school cars showed up,but there was a good collection none-the-less. I am already looking forward to next year. Maybe I will have a car to compete with the trophy winning Miata next year?

Thanks for the pics guys. Chris it looks like the show is starting to draw more old school cars than a few years ago. Glad to see that!

Cool Honda bike in the back of your REPU too. 8)

Mike
