I came across this little tidbit on the Wikipedia Suzuki page.

"-Water-cooled 475 cc triples were built for racing purposes, producing 60 PS (44 kW) at 9,000 rpm. These took part in the JAF Grand Prix Formula Junior class as well as "MR" (Minicar Racing) meets.[6] Thus equipped, the Can-Am style Fronte RF with Mitsuo Itoh at the helm took the victory at the 1970 "Junior Seven Challenge Cup" race, held at Fuji International Speedway, with an average speed of 130.9 km/h.[14]"

Can anybody verify this? Pictures, words, video, really anything would be appreciated, I'm really trying to piece together a definitive timeline of the JAF Grand Prix.

Thanks Gents!

-Miles

"Itoh competed in a Can-Am style Suzuki Fronte RF single-seater in the JAF Grand Prix Formula Junior "Junior Seven Challenge Cup" race, held at Fuji International Speedway in 1970. He won the race with an average speed of 130.9 km/h.[3] While he was also supposed to have started in the JAF Grand Prix Tournament (also at Fuji) two weeks later, the Junior Seven Challenge Cup victory remained his only start in a JAF race....."

Thank you so much for the picture! It seems Suzuki racing history was never deemed "Important" enough to record :(
