Ok I feel really weird cause I'm a 20 year old that loves classic japanese cars. The weird feeling part is that everyone here seems so much older then me. So well everyone can talk about remembering about all these cars when they were young I can't. I hope this isn't just me feeling this.

Mate, not all at !! (and .. by the way- welcome aboard!!)
There's plenty 18-25'ers - I'm a little older than that, but we were all like you when we were that age (now I sound like my grandfather!!)

Regardless, you are amongst friends............. :D isn't that what counts?

Don't feel too wierd, a lot of us grew up with old J-tin and fell in love with it when they were "just japanese cars". Imagine being the only kid on the block who would rather have an old Celica or Corona than your'e friends dad's 69 Camaro "Pro Street" (Although I had a friend with a bone stock 66 Chevy II that I thought was rad! :tu: )

I know its to be a little different I mean I trade up a 66 plymouth for a 89 honda prelude. Its just weird feeling to be here and be so young.

Yes I got a 89 prelude instead of my dads plymout(which he sold right after). I don't like american cars that much don't know why. And hey the prelude is not gay. Its the only honda worth getting, and it should even be considered a honda since they were so much different.

Hey the 89 Prelude is an awesome car. My friend in school had one and let me borrow it one day for a small errand. It was the most fun I'd had all semester :)

who cares about bad opinions..
if anyhting, a young guy would get the cheap j-tin to fix up.

I was 24 when I finally got my first 3 main boxer.. subaru seems to be the more common...and it is now old japanese.
I am 37 now, welded one end to the other, had 3 of completely different models, all boxer old school. gained knowledge and would not trade it for anyhting...
I guess I am saying, if you like the honda, stick with it. It gets alot of fake know how out of the way, and you earn it. Just don't make the car stand out.. the ricer battle can be nasty.
I never took to transverse and inline, but it is more common than anyhting.. the honda is everywhere.

I've been a car nut since I was about thirteen (1983) but didn't look twice at anything Japanese until about four years ago. Honestly, most of the guys locally who are into vintage Japanese cars are twenty-somethings.

What's weird is being 40, 6'1, 220lbs and putting around Oklahoma in a thirty year old Datsun wagon. I've been told I "unfold" out of it.

Don worrie I'm 19 and own a car that is 23 years old lol. Old tuners appeal more to me, it seems most people my age tend to go for the new hip toy while I go back to the classic and old jap muscle.

Do not worry, after three Porsche including a 356, I find myself fascinated with Japanese classics. Perhaps I've been living in Tokyo too long... Regardless, you're in good company. Enjoy. Neko.

Hey, I'm 20 also :tu:
Hey it shouldn't matter that there are older people with the same passion as you, it just means there is probably a greater fountain of knowledge to explore.

You are completely alone. Like the Sweedish. You should probably start crying, because you are the only one.
