Hi!
I'm a fan of the anime series "Initial D", I'm sure you know it (it's about drifting races in Japan). One of the characters drive a Toyota AE86 used by his father for tofu delivery and use it for drift racing.

Here in Spain the slot cars are very popular since 60's but there's not any brand that make classic japanese cars. I decided to hand make my own AE86 for slot.

I used an Aoshima model kit, this is 1/32 but it looks a little bigger than it should be, but I dont worry about that.
I modified the chassis to apply a slot car motor and a rail-guide.
It's not very fast and handling it's not very well but I will improve it.

scalextric??


have u considered putting the body onto a scalextric chassis? that might improve the handling

Yes, it's scalextric (also known like "slot")

Probably it will improve the handling but it's difficult to fix a scalextric chassis with this car because have a different form, I will try to do it. Anyway I will use another chassis than this (maybe and adapted chassis of scalextric or another one brand)
