Sorry dude, thats way off. The gemini, both in Australia and in Japan, and the Kadett in Europe, were known as one of THE best handling small cars of their time. In australia in particular, they grew a large aftermarket following in both street and race, along with regular comparisions in the motoring press to BMW's, Alfas, Fiats etc. They were never [in Australia at least] compared to the Escort Mark II - they were considered to be well above the Escort in handling capabilities.

Believe me when i say this - ive owned some cars "reknowned" for their handling [E36 BMW, S15 200sx to name two] and NEITHER comes close to handling as well as my Gemini does.

not a bad read, but more about the journey, get pissed at bars, and finding more piazzas. not much in the way of car details, as the writers themselves admit, they didnt know much about the workings of a car anyway.

my opinion on the list.... waste of time.

they list that honda-land rover-honda 4x4 and that horrible mkii jag rip off viewt thing, but then leave out the datsun p510/1600, mazda rx3, isuzu bellett gt-r, early prince/nissan skyline gtr, toyota ke27 truneo sprinter, etc.
i prefer the top 50 list the 'nostalgic hero' magazine did a few years ago. much more accurate, and written by those that are actually in the jap car scene.
