Nice ones Kev! I miss shopping in Japan, so many cool toys to be had!

The Shakotan Boogie cars are neat - ganna have to track down some of them.

The Tomica Limited Vintage series are great cars. Yes the selection is rather eclectic from a westerners point of view, but they are sweet cars with nice details. The nice thing is they are ALL the same scale = 1/64 - so the Subie 360 is the same scale as the Hino fire engine, whereas regular Tomica range in scale from something like 1/55 to 1/150 depending on the vehicle.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your great haul of mini JNC! :tu:

I finally picked up Murray the other day.

Murray is the Murray Carter driven RX-7 that has one of the best colour schemes i have seen in a long time...............
FYI- Murray Carter is now 80-odd years old, and still heavily competes in State Racing in a Corvette- and does quite well.

Looks nice! 1/18th scale?
I see the Biante name on the card. I assume it's a Biante special?
For those of us not living down under, what's the deal with Biante? I always used to think they were just a distributor - are they a manufacturer also? Or do they commission cars from other manufacturers? Like this Mazda, who's the actual maker?

As mentioned in my introduction thread I am also a keen collector of models and as the forum only allows you to post pics after two posts in threads I thought that this would be a good filler.

Cheers,
Sean

Probably not new to others but these have just hit the shelves in Australia. There seems to be alot of JNC's coming back in vogue with the collectors and younger generation.

Bit of both- they import/distrubte many brands but also make their own. Generally speaking the Biante made ones are aussie race cars.

I think someone posted about this new series by Maisto some time ago, but I still haven't seen them here in the States.

Actually this series first came out a few months ago. I got mine back in April. It's a six car revival set of the first six Tomica produced back in 1970. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Tomica. I only picked up the Toyota that are in the set, although I did just buy a complete set to send off to a friend in Germany.

BTW, this is Volume 1. Volume 2 was just released in Japan and is the same set of cars but in different colors. I think there is also a Vol 3 due in a few months.
