Every so often I like to Google Datsun 210 for pics. See if there is anything new out there to get some ideas. Well I foulf my car pics (like we all do) and it was under Sky Valley Chronicle. I clicked on the link and nearly fell off the chair when i saw it. Guess I wont be taking any trips there.

Yeah, you probably don't need to head to the Northwest anytime soon. Follow this case and make sure it's been closed before you head out there. Lolol.

I say you sue them for defamation of character. :P

Seriously, they couldn't find a photo of a stock 210 hatch? If you still have the original photo, you would have a pretty good case for a lawsuit based on copyright infringement. Could be some money in it for you...

x2. I'd definitely, at the very least, e-mail them and ask them exactly why they chose to take your picture.

Light a fire under their ass, I would.

Still, I agree it's funny.

wow, If I were you, I'd be pissed. ask them to use a different pic or something. I'd hate to hear that you were mistaken for a killer!!! you'd think they might have some other traffic cameras to capture the lic. plate of the car they are really after... that's just not fair. this thread gets 2 thumbs down for lazy police / media work.... and 2 thumbs up to you for spotting YOUR pic lol

:td: :td: :tu: :tu:

What was the story about the actor who played the bad guy in a reenactment of a crime for America's Most Wanted TV show? Everywhere he went, they were arresting him because he looked just like the guy on TV.

I particularly like it when they use my pictures of my cars for ebay auctions. The cars are unique enough that everyone recognizes them as mine. All of a sudden I get fifty emails from people asking me why I am selling my car.

It's your picture, you own the rights to the use of the picture. Tell them it's a violation of your copyrights and that they must discontinue use of your photo. You can address your complaint directly to the owners of the website (newspaper), they will quickly comply to your demands.

Oh you best believe I WILL be calling them about this. At the very least I want them to get a diff pic and print a retraction. Even though it says that the pic is "representative" of the tye of vehicle used its just the point. Its my car. And If i wanted to go there I could be in a heap of trouble. If they choose not to remove the pic or print a blurb that it isnt the exact vehicle I will be consulting an attorney over it. ANd the sad part of it is their editorial and proofreading staff must be missing some marbles. They cant even spell coupe right and in the link is a misspelling as well.

Don't worry they caught the guy a week later. He was a semi-terrorist. Had a bunch of bombs and bomb making materials at his apartment too. He fire bombed a cop parking lot before too.

Here's the real guys car.

Eventually I'm sure it'll end up at some Seattle police auction. I kinda want the rims personally lol. He might be crazy but have to admit he had a little bit of style.

Clean car, hopefully they do not end up destroying it! You would think if you want to commit a crime you would get a car that blends in a little better!!

Its funny the building behind my old apartment was burned down one night about three years back and the police said they were looking for a mid 80's blue Toyota Cressida... when in my driveway adjacent to the burned place was my blueish greenish '85!! I was just waiting for a knock on the door, lol!
