Hi All,
The "Blue Oval Z" is entered in the Texaco Car of the Decade contest.

It's the only Japanese car representing the 1970's decade in the contest, so I should'nt be stepping on anyones toes. Plus it's a really nice example of a highly modified 1971 Datsun 240Z. More pictures at the link.


Anyone that could help out with getting BOZ some votes would be greatly appreciated!

...I can't work to propogate stereotypes that an American V8 should ever enter a Z, so I can't vote for that Even though looks-wise, I don't hate it as much as I thought I did at the first glance...

Honestly, something I'd vote for as "Car of the Seventies" would be more like a pimp Continental, or a Monte Carlo or something... Something that would be simultaneously awesome, and engage in reverse psychology to remind everyone of why car buyers turned away from American cars in that era

As cool as the car looks I agree with not helping the cause of putting domestic V8's in anything vintage japanese.

Yeah sorry as clean as that s30 is......with it having a American V8 in I won't vote for it. The Texaco contest is a little iffy too. My buddies car was entered in it last year and he got beat by a ton by a couple of domestics. Both cars were really cool, it was just weird how his voting points were very high and then he got beat...strange
