I have followed this forum from a far and don't post much, but I am calling all of those who live in japan. I am possibly considering on shipping a car from Japan to USA. Due to the car being a 1960s/70s it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. As long as I have the US CUSTOMS 10 +2 ISF forms filled accordingly on the Japanese Broker side. (To help the shipping process I already have a broker in the states that is located on the east coast.)
I have shipped cars from UK and Europe in the past, but I am running into a language barrier issue when speaking japanese

Does anyone know of a reliable exporter or source in japan that exports cars and speaks a little bit of english?

Even if the car is older it still isnt easy to import one.

Not in Kansas City but there are several dealers/shippers in Southern California that advertise import / export. Unfortunately most seem export oriented so that Japanese executiives can convert and take their Mercedes home. 2 have web sites and do not seem to be exclusively export oriented although I have not personally opened their sites to check. Try www.jimmyauto.com or www.montagemotoring.com. Hope at least one of these is not a rip off.
