All, I have been informed another KGC10 made it into Super Street Magazine. It is good to see the vintage metal getting some media love. The April issue of 2013 should hit the shelves in a couple weeks. I cannot wait to pickup my issue.

Hey, cut the guy some slack. Resting your magazine on a tiger to take a picture is pretty brave.

A '68 Bluebird also made it into Super Street. Its in the "Back in the day" article at the end of the mag.

Too bad stupid street has soo many mistakes in their articles... Dumb people don't know old school and try to feature them. Bring back SCC!

no i was not talking about the hako. Yes I know what they are. Never mind about that article... although "period correct" should not have fuel injection... I do commend the ability and persistence of the hako build.

The 510 article - first paragraph middle section "-- the hottest version, the triple carb 1800SSS," IDIOTS! I have never seen an L18 with 3 carbs...

This is why I call this rag Stupid Street. I would not get paid to have my car featured in it.

HKS, OER and SK all made fuel injection kits dating back to the late 70's. If I could find vintage HKS throttle bodies I would switch out to them.

Yes. But they were so rare, no one knew how to tune them and get them to idle well if your engine was modified. Mikuni and webers were the main thing till the turbo craze of the 80's. Then and only then fuel injection started to catch on but most were using piggy back systems and leaving the oem system. Just because something was sold does not mean it is period correct.

I grew up in Japan in the late 70's. I went to tune shops. I went to route 20 and hakone mikann doori and saw the racing before drifting existed. I went to nammbuichiba and saw the drag racing. I talked to all these people in Japanese.

I'm through arguing this useless point.

Superstreet is still a poor excuse for a magazine and perhaps one of the reasons the tuning industry started to go south in the US.

It does not mean the hako is bad. It's good. Just the editorial is poor...
