Alright, so my Pops is going to Nagoya Japan for work for at least like 83 days. I been thinking about going but i would have to sell my truck to fund the tickets , which I see are like $1,700 around give or take. I'm curious about the thoughts of getting an old car and importing it back to the US. If that could be done under $5k including purchase of old car? I would consider selling my rx7 just to fund that.

What do you guys think? I don't know how much it would cost to find a shipper to export to California.

Best case scenario you're going to spend at least $3000 on shipping and incidentals. And if you live in California, it'll probably need to be a car that's a '75 or older. I see lots of rust repair in your future.
