Hi,
This is my mother's old car Daihatsu L201 (also known as Mira in some countries).
She had buy it new in the 1993 and has 110.000km.
Is in good condition without rust and it always in a close parking.
After that take a new car, my father wanted to give it for recycle , but I say to give it a chance.
The Cuore has a problem with the carb ( this with the electrics valves)
and burn some oil ( i don't know if is from pistons rings or from valve seals)
So the project is:
1- New pistons and rings (I prefer bigger bore)
2- New seals
3- Find a good carb to replace this one
4- Better suspensions
5- A new exhaust system to takes some hp more

I searched but I can't fint piston from my model,
and also I look for a service manual to help me in the restore,
so I need help in this.

The oil control rings have a habit of caking in carbon buildup if the previous owners are a bit lazy with servicing, but new valve seals aren't a bad idea either.

Does it have the 660cc or one of the 800 or 850 motors?

Hi,
is 847cc, 12valves I think, is the last model with carb,
the next models had electronik fuel injection.
I look for a service manual but I can't find anything,
also I can't find new pistons (I prefer to find with bigger bore)
