So I've actually been wondering for a while now while I look for a car, how do you fit in your vehicle? It occurred to me I might want to get an idea from people how they feel driving it once the shiny new feeling wears off. I've ha to pass on purchasing vehicles before just because of my size, at 6'3 the Porsche cayman just isn't happening for me.

So, what's your vehicle/height/how much space ya got/have you made changes to fit better such as changing where the driver seat mounts...

I'm 6'5"... I end up driving everything with my legs splayed open and the seat tilted back, haha. I've never had a car I fit in properly. :/ It was easier when I only drove column shifted land yachts with bench seats, and I curse the morons that insisted everything needs to have a foot high console nowadays. :x

Somehow I fit in my '74 Celica reasonably well, and the 6 hour drive I made in it wasn't that bad.

I'm 6'4, I fit reasonably well in my '81 Scorpion (Sapporo/Challenger in your neck of the woods). Just have to lean the seat back a tad, that has more to do with my ape-like arms than a lack of headroom though :P
It has Starion rails and a 330mm steering wheel, so it's got an inch more headroom and roughly 1.5" more legroom.

The Japanese are really good at maximizing space...my '80 Celica has more rear leg/headroom than my Mustang Cobra!

I'm 6'5" and 280 lbs, and I fit in my '71 240Z with room to spare.

Though 280 sounds like quite a bit, I carry it well, without much of a gut. I imagine someone with a spare tire would have issues with arm clearance in the car.

im 6 foot 4 and my mazda rupu barely fits me, the seat is as far back as it can go and this is not only because the rails are all the way back but because there is less than an inch from the rear wall of the cabin to the seat at the bottom and none at the top. i plan on lowering the seat to improve head room but as far as leg room goes its as good as its going to get. all for the love of a classic, the only car ive never fit in is a honda s2000 (new ones) knees in chest

I am 6'2" and seemed to always fit better in imports.

A 81 Civic hatchback I use to own I fit great in, but later got a firebird and was cramped at my legs.

My 88 Celica I fit in perfectly, seat all the way back. My 80 Corolla is a little low on the roof line, but that was more of an issue when I put my MR2 seats in.
