ok so yeah i wana know what exactyl u guys think about the bosozoku style. i looked into its history. found out it comes from japanese biker gangs that started back in the 70s. there still some now adays left in japan but not on its scale like it used to. there are also cars that have been under their influence and some look sick some are just rediculous. i think i might way go this route somewhat on the styling on my car. i wana know what u guys think bout it as i stated b4 and post pics of bosoku cars u guys have seen wether they be in the ridiculous category or in the OMG that sick category

im all for a mild boso look, mainly 14" diameter rims atleast 9" wide, stretched tyres, low as a mofo and a nice front spoiler. maybe a small exhaust extension out back.

i plan on going that style on my datsun 910 bluebird.

what car do u have.

just a shit question, but what made you choose zulu as your name. are u possibly south african?

Do you not shower? And does your skin fall off?

Yeah, boso's = sick in my books. Not what I'd personally have in the driveway, but probebly use a couple of design ques from it, (oil cooler, flares, wide wheels etc) on a cheap dunga. But most of the cars I buy are too rare to do it to over here.

Haha, awesome!!!!

Boso is cool, does not look easy or safe to drive in some instances, but I do like the look. At least in mild form!

Hahaha! yeah, still smarting. but meh, looking forward to the sharkies vs crusaders tonight...

You see what's happening in J-berg? Some of my close mates are Saff, and they got like family getting all freaked out and shifting and stuff. It sounds super gnarly over there, not just at the moment either.

Anywho, the crux of the boso matter is this: most westerners aren't as rad as Jap's, and although liking boso, would never make a wild boso ride for themselves as like a daily. Coz that's just too crazy for the country's we live in... we must be afraid of the scorne of the petrol pump attendents and general public thinking it's just "some stupid crazy ricer" cause they don't particulary get it. But those who do will be your new best friend as you drive past. That + laws make it hard to do some of the classic mods. Like here for e.g, exhaust is definatly a no go, as are rims sticking out past the guard generally, and I'm sure that a shark nose, oil cooler and crazy front lip would be taken as dangerous to pedestrians... etc etc etc...

personally im not a massive fan of these types of boso cars. dont get me wrong, i think they are cool, just kinda defeats the purpose of modifying a car like that as it will be almost impossible to use at all

this is more my style. low and sleek. i reckon it looks mean as you still get the nice, original factory lines of the older cars and it still looks modern in a strange way.

i just prefer this style as you dont see many of these types of cars around so why destroy them with miles of fibre glass and steel

I'm a pretty respectful person but if I saw that in a parking lot I'd probably jump on the lip. WTF would you do that to your car for!

ANY jdm car (and really, almost any car period) looks good by just doing the following:

Nice, clean paintwork. Maybe remove really ugly crash bars but otherwise leave it stock.
Nice, tasteful rims
Lowered SLIGHTLY.

end.

IMO giant external oil coolers look stupid on anything that isn't a racecar.

that car would be kick arse if the kit and spoiler where removed. the flairs could go as well as i dont think anything more than some small gaurd extensions should be fitted

I'm totally getting an oil cooler one of these days. I'll probably open a duct behind mine so i can at least tell myself it's working...I was channeling a little bosozoku style when i was designing my exhaust, but I couldn't take it all the way.
