The car in the pic above with NZ registration DW6883 is the 1964 Prince Skyline GT-B which was raced successfully in the 1960s by Carlos Neate whose family owned Croydon Motors, the local Prince agency in the 1960s. The car is now in Australia. Many people who saw it race remember it for its howling exhaust note.
Same type of car - yes. But different car actually. The car in the picture in the second post was recently sold in NZ and actually remains there. It has undertaken a further tidy up and is actually a later model BE3 series car. You are correct in that the ex Carlos Neate race car is here in Melbourne - but it is a different car a B2 series (private import car) with previous NZ reg DV8717
